This optional Windows connector puts your own TallyPrime books on your phone with Books. With Premium, it also brings products into Restock and sends selected orders, verified payments and approved credit notes to Tally. Keep the accounting software you already use.

Install and run

Run the installer on the PC that runs TallyPrime. The connector lives quietly in the system tray and starts with Windows.

Connect your Restock account

Scan the QR code the connector shows with the Restock app — or use a connection token. Books is ready to read your own companies. For Premium trading, also check each retailer’s Tally customer ledger.

Read books, or sync your trade

Books reads your reports without sending entries to Tally. With Premium, also choose orders to send as you dispatch them, along with eligible verified payments and approved credit notes.

These trading features are part of Premium. Books uses the same connector for private, read-only reports and never sends entries to Tally.

Record selected orders in Tally

Orders you select in Restock become sales entries in Tally when you dispatch them, using the product and tax details supplied, so the invoice matches what shipped. You choose which orders to send.

Payments, both ways

Payments you verify in Restock become receipts in Tally against the bill — in your cash or bank ledger, with a part-cash payment split across both. Receipts entered in Tally come back and update what the shop owes. You still receive the money directly.

Include approved returns

Approved returns and adjustments are sent to Tally as credit notes, recording the reduction in what the retailer owes.

Spot differences in unpaid balances

The connector compares the amount owed in Restock with the amount in Tally and flags differences for you to review.

Your Tally books on your phone

The Tally tab shows sales and purchases by day, customer and item; who owes you and what you owe, bill by bill and how old; every ledger, with its statement read from Tally when you open it; stock, below zero and slow-moving; and profit and GST month by month. For you and your Accounts staff.

Bring Tally products into Restock

Import available product details, tax information and stock quantities from Tally into your Restock catalogue instead of adding every item again. Tally's stock groups become your categories.

Price levels become shop prices

Your Tally price lists, with their quantity slabs and discounts, come into Restock. Each shop pays its own level — from its Tally ledger, or set in the app. Add special rates for single shops in Restock.

Bills, batches and e-invoices

Tally's bill-wise balances and due dates show on the order. Invoice lines carry batch and expiry, and the invoice's IRN and e-way bill appear once generated in Tally.

Several companies and godowns

When you confirm an order, choose the Tally company and godown it's billed from — suggested from the items and your last choice.

Control sync from your phone

Check the connection, see the full sync history, and retry failed entries or skip an order that should not go to Tally. You're alerted when the Tally PC hasn't been heard from.

Do I need Tally to use Restock?
No. Retailers and distributors can use the mobile app without Tally. This optional connector serves Books accounts that read their own TallyPrime books and Premium distributors that also sync their trade.
Is Tally sync in every plan?
Books gives you read-only Tally reports at ₹249/month or ₹2,499/year, with a 30-day Books trial. Premium, at ₹599 a month, ₹3,299 for 6 months or ₹5,999 a year, includes Books and trading sync: catalogue imports and sending selected orders, verified payments and approved credit notes to Tally. New trading accounts start with a 30-day Premium trial. Basic has no connector.
Can I use the connector before I have app access?
You need a Books or Premium Restock account to connect the connector from the mobile app. Downloading the connector alone does not create an account or give you app access. Join the early-access list for availability and onboarding updates.
Does Tally need to be running?
Yes. Keep TallyPrime open on the PC running the connector. Books shows the last synced data until Tally is available again. With Premium, orders selected for sync while Tally is closed wait in a queue.
What settings should my Tally operator check?
Enable TallyPrime's XML server, usually at localhost:9000. Check the company you want to read. For Premium trading sync, also check sales and tax ledgers and link each Restock retailer to the correct Tally customer ledger.
Which Tally editions are supported?
TallyPrime on Windows. The connector uses Tally's standard XML gateway, so Silver and Gold licenses both work. Tally ERP 9 is not supported.
Is Restock part of Tally?
No. Restock is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by Tally Solutions. TallyPrime is a trademark of Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd.; Restock names it only to say the connector works with it.
Does it send my Tally data anywhere?
The connector exchanges the data needed for the integration: stock and product details, stock groups, price levels, batches, company and godown names, receipts entered in Tally, bill-wise balances, voucher acknowledgements and connection status. With Books or Premium it reads your books for the Tally tab: every ledger with its balance, open bills owed to you and by you, sales and purchases totalled by day, party and item, stock values, and monthly balances for profit and GST, plus a ledger's statement when you ask for one. Your books stay private to you and, with Premium, your Accounts staff. Books does not publish a catalogue, receive shop orders or write entries to Tally. With Premium trading, the connector also sends eligible Restock orders, verified payments and approved credit notes to Tally. Tally remains your accounting system of record.
How up to date is the Tally tab?
The connector reads your books every 30 minutes while Tally is open and something has changed, and right away when you pull down to refresh. The first time, it reads this financial year and last a few months at a time, so older months fill in over the first hour. Figures are Tally's own; sales and purchases are shown before GST.
What happens if a voucher fails to book?
The error appears on the order in the Restock app. Review the issue and retry the sync after fixing it, or skip the order if it should not be sent to Tally.
Windows says it doesn't recognise the app — is that normal?
The connector is not yet signed with a commercial certificate, so Windows may show a warning. Use only the download linked on this page. If you are unsure about the file or the warning, contact our team before running it.
Who generates the invoice?
Tally owns the invoice number and accounting entry. Once those details are available, Restock can prepare a viewable and shareable PDF using the order data and Tally invoice reference. Dealers can also attach their own invoice PDF.
